Thumbs up Hey all! Canadian Noob to the mr2 scene checkin in

Haven't got a mr2 yet, probably buying one tomorrow (1988 sc).

Previous cars..........Minis Minis and more Minis........love 'em to death, still race 'em but always wanted to check out a mr2.........so I will

Anyone have some price suggestions for a bone stock 1988sc with a good exterior but fairly beat up interior, t - top, manual sterring/brakes.........looks like the seller's gonna want 4 - 4.5g Canadian.

Oh yeh, a special hello to my fellow Canadians on the board.....where are you all living, I'm in Victoria myself.........probably the most expensive market for cars in Canada.

Cheers!

Welcome! I was in Canada once. It was cold...Prince Edward Island to be exact. I was bundled up in cold-weather gear and everyone else was wearing short-sleeved tshirts. Good luck on purchasing a 2...I think you will fall in love all over again.

Hello fellow Canuck !

I just some my 1988 SC in Prince George for $7500, it sounds like you're getting a decent deal for four grand regardless of the interior condition. There is a 2-tone grey 89 that's been for sale on the island for a while- did you get the chance to check it out ?

Why the heck were you in PEI, Ring ?!

Hi Ring, nice to meet ya. If you ever get a chance to visit Canada again, come to the west coast.........where I live on Vancouver Island it is just above the 49th parallel and the weather is very warm and mild, just a little cooler than Cali and a little more rain fall, but nice

Hey Canadam glad you replied, I'm sure as I get deeper into this mr2 thang, some advice from a fellow B.C. boy will come in handy.........who knows we live fairly near each other (relative to the rest of the world anywayz) maybe we could do some racing some time. By what I understand about mr2's they're tricky to drive competitively, but I've got a '69 Austin Mini Van with a strong 1275cc motor in it, and if there's one thing I know, it's how to drive a mini........betcha pinks your mr2 would remember my Mini......don't forget to ware a 5 point homeboy

Yeh I got It a couple of weeks ago........it's not too bad. Needs a bit of tlc to bring it back to tip top but it's cool. The thing's pretty quick for an older car.....nice clean motor, good compression etc...me thinks it has potential.
