New UK member to the board

Hi, I do know a few members on this board (cyberspace wise) but thought I would introduce myself to you all. My name is Gaz and I live over in the UK in Suffolk a county in the east of England. I own a Rev1 JDM import G-Limited auto in Astral Black 202 1989 model. Fully loaded with all optional extras except leather, a set of seats are in the trimmers at this moment being refurbished, he is also going to try and recreate the door card inserts as well. This Mk2 was kept in a field after it was involved in a crash 4 years ago, drivers wing and heavy damage to drivers side suspension. I got it around end of Feb this year and repaired the damage using another Mk2 I bought as a donor car.

As bought.

Just buying some lowered struts (40mm) this weekend to go with the Rev3 15" Astral Black wheels I have sitting in the workshop.

Gorgeous car man. I love the smoked corner markers. Did you put a film over them?

Hey guys thanks for the comments. Hiyas Ben and Davis, thought I might find you on this board, Davis I am sending you 2 sets of lights, one corner piece is slightly damaged but the rest will be useful for spares in case you run into a shopping cart down the mall

The corner markers (toblerones) I sprayed with indicator tinting paint. Now usually this stuff is rubbish and makes them look a right dogs dinner. The stuff I used has a nice shiny finish and doesn't make them look completely black.

The rear lenses are tinted too same way.

Wheels are now painted, awaiting new set of droplinks so I can swap my 40mm lowered struts onto the car at the same time as swap the wheels. Got a new centre panel for the rear the other day. Got it from Twos R us in the UK, this type of rear cover has the boot lock aperture so you can still use your key!

Can't wait for the shock swap, I have been taking piccies so I can compare the ride height. Going to have to alter that pesky rear numberplate angle too :P

Just thought I would show you my new (to me) Rev3 wheels with Yoko 022 boots and 40mm lowered suspension. Did the suspension swap with new droplinks all round, adjusted the steering geometry so it doesn't keep pulling to the right. Drives very well now, just need a few more bits doing, leather seats back from the trimmers once I have kicked his butt a few times as he is dawdling over them, source some leather door cards, fix the aerial, find an oem cd/radio/tape player that works and fits in the car. I only seem to be able to find later versions that are not the same rear plug, very annoying

Excuse the dirty car, we have had a bit of rain this last week
