Hi
Hey guys. I joined this forum about a month ago but I never properly introduced myself.
So anyways I've been in and out of the car scene for the last 10 years or so. I had a 94 Supra turbo about 8 years ago, then moved on to something cheaper while I went to college. Now I'm working as a mechanical engineer and thought about getting another Supra but I was disappointed to find they've gotten more expensive over the years. I've always had my eye on the MR2 for their lighter weight and mid-engine layout, so I picked up a fixxer-upper a couple months ago and here I am. Currently I'm refreshing the suspension with some new ball joints, tie rods, Prothane bushings, Megan coilovers, SS brake lines, pads, DOT 4 fluid, etc. Basically just working on the handling aspect right now, and also trying to shave weight wherever I can. I plan on road racing and autocrossing occasionally. I look forward to seeing what I can get out of this car, and maybe applying some of my engineering skillz to make it faster ![]() |

Welcome!

Thanks guys! It's a 91 turbo, but unfortunately my camera broke so I don't have any pics of what it looked like when I first got it. Picture this:
It was originally white, but it looked like someone took a can of silver spray paint and tried to paint the car. Ugly, with overspray everywhere. There was a ghetto side skirt/side scoop kit. And there were some minor mechanical issues that I'm sorting out. But hey, it wouldn't be any fun if it was perfect when I bought it. |
