I recently acquired an 89 n/a mr2, but I primarily own a 3rd gen supra. Definitely a Toyota fan!
I'm here mostly for general mr2 repair knowledge and meet whereabouts.

We have quite a few members in your area. I'm not sure how actively they meet up though. We're all probably Toyota fans here, at least until they stopped making sports cars.
