ENGINE REPLACEMENT

Anyone have advice on getting a rebuilt turbo replacement engine for my 1991 MR2 and a good mechanic in Miami?

Thanks,

Gio

Sent you a PM,

btw - whatt part of south florida are you in? TD Autoweks in Miami built Tony B's mr2, currently the quickest mr2 in the country

Edit: My bad, I just noticed your location WAS Miami, lol. Look them up. Other than them, I don't know. I'm sure others will post that are local to you, i've never personally been down much further south than Tampa.

MR2 Vet. Bought mine in 85 and it served me well, until my local dealer blew the engine (for the second time!). Has been stored for 4 years indoors, and I need the room.
It has 141750 miles on it and it served me well for a long time. My hope was to eventually repair/replace engine and use it for day trips. Not going to happen.
I hate to tow it for parts, Body is sound with minor front bumper damage, everything (other than the engine) worked last time driven.
Never been near the ocean, snow, salt. Always been in Marin County California or the Central valley. Would be great for a do it yourselfer. No power anything, but has air radio/cassette.
My inclination is to donate it to a charity and write off the contribution unless someone nearby can give it a good home, cheap.

Great to see so many MR2 enthusiasts in one place!
