New to the Board. Hi All !!!

Hi, found this board when I was just browsing for information on my MR2. I had my 89 MR2 SC since 1999. Bought it with 140,xxx miles on it and put about 80,xxx miles on it (230,xxx currently). Unfortunately, I was young and not very knowledgable and broke when I got the car, it has rust damage where the battery sit because the intercooler wasn't mounted properly. Did everything I could then to try to stop the rust and fix the mounting of the intercooler. It is mounted correctly now, but after all those miles, the head gaskets need to be replace and the transmission need some work becuase of so-so repair a shop did after the master/slave clutch problem. Right now the car is sitting at my parents house on 4 blocks waiting for an engine overhaul and restore/repair (whenever I save up the money). It gone through a lot with me and it shows. In the meantime, I'm driving a stock 95 Miata as a replacemnt, but the power just not as good as the MR2 SC.

I have a question and hope someone here is able to help me look for the answer. I was looking to find the production number for the SC in 1989 and the total imported to US. I was only able to find the total along with NA produced and imported into the US. If anyone know the answer. Please let me know. Thanks.

I'm afrid I don't know much about the production numbers for the Mk I's. Thought I'd welcome you to the board anyway
