Better late than Never

After a couple of months of viewing, along with the occasional post, I guess I should at least check in.

I'm 55 years old and bought my 2 more or less as a birthday gift to myself. Hence the alias 55MR2. I started looking for a 2 after driving my sister's 5 years ago.

Most of the ones I saw were either somewhere far far away, were RHD JDM imports, or had been modified (and priced) way above my comfort zone.

I was fortunate to have one turn up in my part of the city that was right up my alley as far as price and condition.

It was a 91 USDM N/A sunroof version that was brought up here by its original owner. He smacked it up and the insurance wrote it off. It was bought back off the insurance company by a professional body man. He replaced the damaged parts by getting a front clip and salavaging all the parts he needed. He then took off all the exterior trim, along with the windows, and repainted it in its original colour.

I intend to keep it as stock as possible. It's going to be my DD during the warmer months and I'll garage it once the snow flies.

I am going to use this forum as a resource in helping me keep my little guy running and looking its best.
