NEWBIE from Georgia with 1991 MR2

Hello everyone. I finally got one of these wonderful cars. I have a Yellow one that was repainted. It was originally some dark green color but was painted pretty good door jambs, frunk, engine cover, trunk etc. It is high mileage 5-speed with manual steering and t-tops. I love it. I am from Ohio but have recently moved to the Atlanta Georgia. I live currently in Sandy Springs and see lots of high end cars like Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, NSX, Aston Martin's, Panoz Roadsters, Lotus Elise's, Vipers, GT-40's etc etc, but my OLD CLASSIC MR2 still gets its share of admiring glances. I don't have a turbo so I can't keep up with all the high end BMW M3's and some of Corvette Z06's but I still represent the best I can. Many think the car is faster than it is so they don't try to race it too often.

I am just glad to have one of these. I used to have a 1991 Celcia and always want the MR2. My car has 234,000 miles but still runs great. Toyota reliability is 100%. I am looking to keep the car for a while and upgrade it to a moderate degree. I am also looking to learn a lot from this message board.

Cool welcome to the boards. Yeah I had the same thing before I did my motor swap, a lot of people thought it was a lot fast than it was. I used to always say "its really not fast at all" so now they all want to race, but......I got a gen3 turbo now.

I love messing with ricers.lol. Get some pics up of you car when you can.

I'm a Newb too and just purchased my 2. I don't get it yet for another 2 weeks and can't wait to start driving it!

. There are not too many MR2's around so if you see a Yellow one it is probably me!
