Canadian NA MR2

Hey, I'm Dave. I just bought my 1991 NA MR2 and I'm sure I'm in love.

I've been working on cars since I was a wee boy, and been racing on the track (drags) since I was 16.

Currently I'm the import performance specialist at an autoparts store (think that 20 year old guy behind the counter at autozone selling rice-cans to kids with 88 civics).

I've been trying to learn everything and anything about engines and cars that I can. I have an inexhaustable thirst for knowledge this MR2 is no exception. I've researched the hell out of them before I even considered buying one.

I'm still trying to learn though. Don't get me wrong I like to think I know my stuff, but I'm no expert.

I'm not sure how much sense that post made, I'm working right now (trying to, its dead) and I keep coming back to this post writing more.

I'll see you kids around online though.

Per capita I bet us Canucks have a stronger presence on the board than those damn Yanks

1 - All Canadian cars (NA and Turbo) came with fog lamps and they were set up as DTR.
2 - KPH speedo and LHD both at the same time.
3 - Factory alarm not standard equip.

I'll get pics up when I've got the time and it stops raining here in Nanaimo (thats the where I live question).

Right now I've got to mess with the car a bit more.. So thats priority #1, something in the rear left brake system is rubbing.. I hope its pins and not the caliper...

(For you Americans, that's a bit of Canadian humour. You see, we all have been led to believe that it's always raining on the West Coast. But really, it's just a ploy by people in BC to scare us prairie folk into staying home and not all moving out west)

I love the island. There's a show car MR2 for sale in Qualicum right now, it's been around the MR2 community for a long time. I'm up in PG.
