Hello from Japan!

Hey everyone, i just got to japan on december 7th and i just now purchased my car. I now am the happy owner of a 1995 MR2 non-turbo. Previous cars have been a 2007 VW Golf GTI which i sold right before coming here, and before that I owned a 1991 Honda CRX Si. Im up to the challenge of restoring this beast, i bought it from a Japanese guy off post. (im in the army here.) I need alot for it, first thing I want to do is all prep-maintenance, i.e. all fluids and such being replaced. Second, I need a decent system in it lol. I found a guy on here that makes custom 10" sub enclosures at a really good price, so pay day ill have to get in-contact with him and start ordering all necessary parts for the install. For this car, unlike all my others i have worked on, im going with the aesthetic/sound oriented goal first, then ill move into power. Id like it to get noticed for its looks first. Especially here in Japan there is soooo much traffic you can rarely open the car up on the road. I was in germany before here, and it was well worth the extra $5000 i dumped into my engine for the autobahn. Instant gratification

So this one will atleast for now, be for sound and looks. Just wanted to introduce myself, ill post some pics later. It's currently in the shop getting the back-up lights fixed so i can pass my JCI inspection.

I just pcsed from Okinawa. I had a turbo MKII while i was there. Hard to come by parts in the Junk yards....Everyone in the states keeps buying them up!!....well i'm in Louisiana now. Hope you enjoy it over there....mainland?

I only made it up that way once. Yokota AB for about 2 weeks...went into Tokyo a few times.

You could opt for a year trip to Korea. I was there almost every other thirty days tdy from japan and it wasnt that bad.
