Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

Well I'm a soon to be owner of a 1993 MR2 NA. I just got to go pick it up later this week. Just wanted to introduce myself to you guys. I'll probably be in the boards more often checking up on things related to the car.

I'm Anthony, a 21 years old who's always had a thing for cars since I was like 11 years old. I previously owned a 1996 Civic DX and have always liked the MR2 MKII ever since I heard/saw it back in 1999. I'm at the point that I'm able to purchase one, so I started looking and found one a couple of days after. I'm hoping if I ever need some help you guys who are much more knowledgeable about the MR2 would be of great help and a great resource for me to learn from. I've read the sticky and yes I know this is not a very practical car but as some say "You only have 1 life so appreciate it and make the most out of it."

I don't know if usually people post photo's of the car they purchased when introducing themselves but if anything I'll post it up just so I guess people don't accuse me of lieing or something lol.

I don't mind saying it, although some might say I paid too much but I don't mind I think it's worth it. It looked like it was in great shape and it had a very smooth ride. I paid $5,200 for the car. I thought it was pretty good considering the car has 97,000 miles on it.

The funny things is that I'm already trying to get a pair of 94+ tail lights for it and I haven't even really taken her home yet lol. I just really like the more up to date tail lights. I'm a try to get a pair for 300.

that's not that bad of a deal! I'd say you got a deal on it! imo a clean, low(for the year) mileage 93 na is worth that!

Yeah I just car faxed the vin on the car today apparently the car was only driven about 26,000 for the first 10 years of its existence. Then from 2002 to 2008 it had 71,000 miles added onto that. So I'm guessing the first owner was babying this mr2. If you guys want to see more pics I still got the ebay link. The motor doesn't look spectacular but I still think it looked fine.

eBay Motors: Toyota : MR2 (item 150205261539 end time Jan-17-08 18:18:22 PST)

From those pics though it looks like the front passenger side panel was repainted.

That is a really good deal. I paid 4500 for my 92 NA with 165k and fading paint. Good find.

This might help with your install:
1. MR2 Modifications and “How-Tos”
2. MR2 Tail Light Procedure
o6spdracer is online now

Thanks man that will be of great help once they come in . From the looks of it its pretty much a very easy process to switch them out.... I don't like the whole hammering some of the metal in though. But I guess I'm a have to go through it now lol.

So I finally got my MR2 today surprisingly. I was originally gonna pick it up next week but I told the owner of the dealer about my situation of having difficulty picking up the car since I had no ride and he basically said he was gonna have the car delivered to me. So now the car is here waiting for me to get the paperwork done and I can take her to the road. Also my 94+ tail lights should be coming in next week so I'm a put them on during spring break and I'll post pics of the car then. Man I'm excited I can't wait to get this thing on the road lol.
