New owner of a 1991 MR2 Turbo

I'm in Atlanta,GA
I was told about this site by Flip and Brian Hill
I didn't even own the car for 24 hours and broke a maf, classic!
I love the car though. I can't help but laugh though.
Previous owner never let the car out in the rain so he thought the t tops were 100%
My thoughts are highly disorganized right now, so sorry about that.
When I was changing my 02 sensor last night I noticed one of the wires on the harness was pretty much non existent, and of course no matter how careful I was it gave up the ghost, and I had to due the most embarrassing butt connector ghetto rig in the history of automotive to get it working.

so if anyone knows where I can buy a used plug for the engine harness for the 02 sensor or a section of the harness with the plug....

the car came with a turbo timer, that's all, stock everything, had some pep boy fog lights that the housings were painted red, looked all right, but they didn't work. He gave me the intake that he bought and never installed, so I installed it. Car always ran synthetic, I switched everything over to royal purple, and put DOT 5.1 brake fluid in the brakes and bleed out the clutch completely. added purple ice to the radiator fluid. I work at NAPA auto parts, so heh I can afford to be super anal about things like that. I got some suspension techniques springs through work for 120 bucks, msd wires for 40, and some other fun parts. The boost controller we carried was discontinued it was a profec2 knock off. So my search continues for that.
Stereo, I got a head unit at work that is rated pretty good on crutchfield. I got all my old polk/momo 5 1/4 carbon serious components and 4 channel amp to use, I'm getting a low profile pioneer ten mounted behind the passenger seat and having a little box made, passenger seat will loose a small amount of rail movement for air space. I hard wired in my radar detector

basic mait. to be done, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, waiting till I know the new o2 is working 100% so I don't foul up new plugs. Swapping cheap cone filter for a big K&N going to build an air box out of alum and paint the outside black and I have some mandrel 3 1/2 tube left over from another project so I'm going to use that to go down to the side vent and build a small box to cover the vent and direct air right into the tube. It'll look pretty good, just an absurd amount of work to get right though.
Car came with some nice kosi (sp?) K1s in 16 inch, but I can't find any tires that are wider then 205 and they are being dorifto whore stretched onto the rims. So I'm in search of some black 17s with a polished lip

Welcome! I'll beat the rush and ask for some pics

Regarding the harness bit, you might want to check in the market place here. There's almost always someone parting out a car or selling pertinent bits. Failing that the forum sponsors here have a great variety of cool stuff.

well it took a whole week for one reply so lol
I'm not all to worried about being yelled at about having pics

I'll put some up I need to go back to the spot when the sun is going down
not a real good night spot without having a decent camera. and I only have a basic digital, my film camera would have torn that **** up, but then it would have not been very instant...
yes the car needs lowering I know. I was bored and decided to experiemnt with doing some silhouette shots. It could use a wax bad, but it really needs a good wet sanding a few touch ups and a reclear, the paint is fairly new, they just got ****** clear on it. and since I work at NAPA I can get the crazy martin senour clear that you can bounce quarters off of at cost so I'll be doing that soon.

Lookin' pretty good even so. Too bad the current clear isn't up to snuff. I haven't heard of this martin stuff you're talking about. Is it really that strong?

What are those crazy fogs you got on there? I kinda like 'em tucked up under the bumper like that. Have any daylight head on shots?

I'll get some just had to work all the time lately and I am the closer at work so it's always mid morning to evening.
ya they are just el cheapo fogs, the car came with some like it that were painted body color and it looked sharp (the housings were ruined from the elements and no longer functioned), I'm still tweaking the mount and aim on these, I added some of those new phillips bulbs by wagner I got at work on there, they kick ass, the night guides and the crystal vision series(these are the latest in standard car lighting, without being HID lights these ARE the best, they cost around $40 for a pair, but are well worth the extra $). The wagner tru view for the standard 6054s work great (tru views are wagner's answer to silver stars, and they kick the **** out of them, and they don't break every other day, now I wish they had the phillips series in sealed beam). Lighting isn't an issue with the car lol, I can drive with just the fogs on if I want.
it's easy to mount them like that too, just use self tapping steal screws and put them on that little metal lip.
The clear on there is OK at best, just a cheap paint job, the paint is pretty good though. That Martin Senour clear doesn't come cheap at all, but is well worth the money. It's not quite as awesome as I make it out to be, but it's damn good stuff.
