Well that certain sounds interesting. I've always thought of an MR2 as a street car, not an off-road machine.
I am going to assume that the loose corners is almost inevitable. My suggestion is to change your approach to the corner. I'm not sure how, as I've never driven my car in dirt. Changing the approach also changes how you exit the corner. If you're staying on the inside at all times, try approaching from the outside and then coming in. This will make more of a straight exit and make help prevent loosing grip while corner since you'll have less side ways momentum. Any handling upgrades at all? P.S. Do you have some pics/videos of your adventures? |

yes, i have some good videos, ill try to get them online soon. as 4 the susp. mods. its a stock class but i have three lowering springs and a stock spring on the right front. i used to block off the right front brake, that did help turn left. but i use rear stagger and the throttle to turn the car now thanks for your interest. i have won many races often smoking the competition...but have spun out a lot too. might want to play with camber settings, might need some more negative on the RR and a bit more positive on the LR. if that fails or you run out of adjustment, try some rear toe-in to get the back end of the car hooked up

mr2 setup
yes i have camber settings to max adjustment, front and rear. im going to move the battery and some weight (about 90 lbs together)to the trunk for weight. really helps the car turn. i will be sure to try some tow adjustment on the left rear.. thanks 3d

FYI - in my experience these cars are more sensitive to adjustments made at the back (heavy) end of the car
hope that helps!! let us know how that goes for you ![]() |
