6 Years of modifying my 2....
Hi everyone.
Im a regular on the UK forums and on the OC USA forum but thought I would say hi and show you my cars changes over the past 6 years. Bought standard in 2002 - 1993 Rev2 3S-GE ![]() ![]() ![]() Installed Alpine 7892R head unit and changer Painted calipers black Added clear corners, Momo gear knob and a Mongoose exhaust. Painted dash inserts and bought a Momo steering wheel. ![]() Restored engine bay and added Apexi filter ![]() Fitted full High N' Tight poly bush kit Fitted Eibach Pro-kit springs and TRD short shift, front ARB and motoria front strut bar Installed rev3 JDM rear lights and tinted orange bits red ![]() Bought mint Rev2 Recaro seats Sourced and refurbished rare 16" Tom's C7R's ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Installed a rare Buddy Club ECU ![]() Got it dyno'd with good results for a 3SGE (158bhp fly as stock) shown here at 170bhp fly ![]() ![]() Purchased TRD rear strut brace and was in the middle of changing the engine bay to this.... ![]() ![]() .......when the powder coating residue stripped my piston rings. So I bought this...... ![]() ![]() ![]() Modified it with Stainless downpipe, all new cambelt pulleys, cambelt change, HKS SSQV, cold grade NGK's, Apexi filter, Motoria stainless Dep2 copy exhaust, MT90 LSD fluid which resulted in this...... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() sourced some GAB revo Stroke R coilovers used for $300 ![]() ![]() Fitted Blitz boost gauge Finaly I just bought some A-Tech Final speed 16" monoblocks for winter use ![]() ![]() ![]() And thats where Im at. New engine is running not far off 300bhp at the fly according to an MR2 specialist. 6 years down the line and love it as much as day 1! |

Thanks for the great warm welcome guys. I will be putting the Toms wheels back on for the summer shortly, and yes its the original colour - 8J2, Zircon Blue.
This summer I will be bringing the new Rev3 Turbo engine up to the same standard of engine bay finish as I had when the old 3SGE was in. Then Im just gonna enjoy the power and attend some shows! |
