New Member- '94 NA
Hello folks,
Just wanted to introduce myself - found this board the other day while looking up some information and thought it would be a great place to get info about my car, since I have absolutely NO mechanical knowledge/background (I'm a computer/systems analyst type guy). I live in Charleston S.C., and drive a '94 NA , just passed 100k miles. White w/ Tan leather interior, no modifications of any sort. I bought it from the Original owner about 4 or 5 years ago. Only issues I have had so far have been the Power Steering (has gone out a few times, this time it was a Relay- I think the Dealership I had it repaired at screwed me the first time I took it in), and the TTops leak (they screwed me on this too- 500 bucks to replace the rubber seals around door/tops and it still leaks). I'm in the process of having the problems fixed (leather seat needs some work/reupholstering as well) but I have been very happy with the car overall. ---Why did I buy my MR2?--- When I was in Highschool, I test drove an MK1 (85 or 86 i think) and it became the car I would own "Someday". When the MK2 came out I had been out of school a few years, and I test drove one to see if it was still the car I always wanted - But again, can't quite afford one. Finally, after turning 30 I could actually afford one - and they came out with the MK3! Time for a test drive!!Well, I am 6'7 and about 230. After trying to sit in one and realizing there was no way in hell I could steer or shift with my knees in my chin, I decided to look for a MK2. Found one later that year and finally had my car! (For anyone who is curious, I fit great in my car - just have to put the seat all the way back and lean the front seat back.) Anyway, thats my story. Thanks to all the regulars here that post such great info - I wish some of you guys were local, I'm tired of going somewhere to have my engine looked at for some reason or other, and having the mechanic pop the frunk and stare at the Spare tire with that dumbfounded "um...something's missing" look on their face. (seriously). |

Sorry Jim, inside joke. Welcome to the board. I'm originally from Greeville, SC. Perhap you could make it to one of our bigger meets.

Maybe postponing those pics is a better idea, if you post them then you'll more then likely recieve a check from Brian. He seems to be greedy with the `94's and not letting anyone else buy them. Damn you Brian, haha.
