n00b

hi.

looking at buying an MR2 here (maui). somewhat modded.

molded widebody, modded (it looked stock. im told t04e specs) turbo, trunk mount IC, full downpipe/exhaust, VPC but stock fuel, volk 18s, carbon hood, flush mount headlights.

needs some TLC as it sat for 2 years when he lost interest. im told it needs a fuel pump (supra pump from my VR4 should do it ) but ill cross that bridge when/if i get to it.

still not sure what my plans are if i get this car. it doesnt seem like too many ppl are interested in going for big power with these. to me 350 AWHP isnt that impressive but this is in a 3500lb car. i want to at least go for 300 RWHP.

Dollar for dollar an MR2 can fight a VR4 in a drag and rock it on a road course.

If you are impressed with 350whp carrying 3500lbs you'll love having 300rwhp carrying 2700.

bump.

well i didnt buy it (kicking myself for that)

but i did finally get one. traded my 95 montero SR for it.

91 turbo t-top. LSD trans, profec B, tanabe springs, ugly 18s with rubbing over bumps.

needs quite a bit of TLC. someone put a celica 3SGTE in it but kind of half assed it. IC fan is missing, rain shield is gone, harness isnt really secured anywhere. came with a cracked ebay manifold in the trunk and a cracked ebay downpipe installed.

only thing ive done to it so far was build and install a black box FCD. new SMIC kit, fan, and shroud on order. installing a pair of pushers on the engine lid this weekend.

3400 is the max weight it can take. It's been said a million times before.

werd.

3400 is GVWR. maximum weight the vehicle can weigh fully loaded.

if the car weighs 2700lbs it can carry 700lbs total. fuel/fluids usually arent included in vehicle weights so you can figure another 100-150lbs less for cargo/ppl.
