Hello all! Glad to have found a corner of the interblag for the MR2 crowd. I picked up my 2001 MR2 in May, and I have been basically floating in air with happiness ever since. I had a 1990 turbo Supra in high school, but my poor baby was far from stock and had 175,000 miles on her when I finally had to let her go, as I was heading to college and despite the money I just kept sinking into her, she could not pass emissions. Since The End of the Supra Era, I've held that car up as my pinnacle of vehicular delight, but Madeleine (my MR2) has managed to make me just as happy.

She's stock right now, the theory being that I will pay off the car loan before I start screwing with her, but I'm having a hell of a time resisting the temptation.

I know how to do all the little basic maintenance stuff--oil changes, wheels and tires, the boring stuff--but I'm trying to get more into the really exciting stuff (I helped my friend swap the suspension in his car in a parking garage the other night; it was both mildly sketchy and amazingly fun, and now all I can think about is working on cars).

In the boring world of mundanity, I live in Cambridge (MA), work in Boston, and am starting an MS in Info Systems part time this fall. I bake fabulous cupcakes, enjoy anything related to robots and/or dinosaurs, dig sci-fi, and am kind of a jerk.

Also, I ramble.

I go to bboy events and that's about it haha, boston is a boring city but if you scan around there are car events and what not. I just don't have the time. I work too much lol
