MR2 and me too!

Let me start out by saying hello to all members of the forum. I look forward to getting to know you.

Well surprisingly enough I haven't actually introduced myself officially to the club. I have been a member for about 6 months now and rarely post but read a lot of articles on MR2 repair. So thank you to all who have wrote articles on different things that involve the removal of motors and engine swap conversations.

Back in high school a friend of mine owned a NA mk1 with t-tops and I loved it!!! I have wanted one ever since. Back in March of this year I got my wish and bought a NA mk2 with a blown motor and was going to just replace the motor with another 5sfe. But many things have changed in the past few day and it appears I will be purchasing my 2nd MR2 . A 1992 3sgte turbo w/LSD transmission. So now it is going to come down to swapping part from one another and creating a whole car! I am really excited about this! I can't wait!!!

About 4 hours away!!! I live at the base of the Coranado trail hwy 191. Which is a great place to have a cruise!!! check it out! ranked one of America's top ten roads to travel by Car and Driver!

and your going to put the turbo parts on the N/A???

Whichever one the silver one is is nice, I like that paint job and the wing

MR2 Drifter- Actually due to a unique opportunity, plans have changed again! I actually found and purchased a 5SFE with 5 speed tranny for $100 from a swap! It was an auction thing and I got lucky no one else bid on it! So now I have to do a 5 speed swap still but I love the manual but there isn't going to be a second MR2 right now!

I still need the following items!! But note I am doing this paycheck to paycheck and all on a wife approved budget! lol Anyone that wants to help out a married guy Please PM me!

Drive shafts- Next payday hopefully if they aren't sold!

Front Bumper- I am still trying to figure this out! Don't know which one to go with. It had a veilside style kit on it and if I change it I have to get the old corner lights.

Rims & Tires- I have been looking at going with a set of Drag 19 style 17" rims in polished aluminum.

Then she will be on the road again and then I can save for a paint job! I would love to go with a super white with blue pearl flake! anyway what do ya think?
