New to the MR2 World

Hi All,

I got my MR2 maybe a month ago. I haven't did much to it as of yet. It hasn't been cranked in about 3 years and needs some work done to it for sure! I plan on doing a motor swap because as of right now it is a 91 NA. I have been trying to find a crankshaft pulley to see if I can get the NA motor to crank but haven't be successful in finding one that wasn't too expensive! I have major plans for the MR2. Body work isn't too bad. I think I need some fenders and then it is off to be painted. Not sure about body kits yet. The interior just needs some TLC. I have already read so many post on this board that have really helped me! Can't wait to jump into it further. Below is a pic of my MR2. It was taken with a camera phone so pic isn't too good.

Welcome to the addiction! For just sitting it looks like its in pretty good shape. The vendors and for sale forum will be your best friends while trying to get everything back together.

We are in pretty much the same boat with Dad's... he picked up a 91 N/A for $300 a few months back... just ordered $1,500 worth of parts this week!! Welcome to the fun!! Engine turned out to be just fine, just needed a transmission and fuel pump, so now while we've got the motor out we're going pretty hardcore and doing everything from a full exhaust to timing kit to flywheel and clutch and more. Fun stuff! Good luck with yours! Dad's 91's body was also in pretty good shape from sitting, just a little work and we'll be ready to paint it. This is the "yard ornament" we rescued... err... that is in process of being rescued at least . We've got some work to do!

Congrats on the purchase and best of luck with it!!
