New Member. Louisville, Ky. Pics. 56k ehhh not so much

Hello all.

My name is Drew Foster. I'm a proud owner of a 91 NA T Top. Absolutely in love with the car. First MR2, but not my first Toyota sports car. Definitely my first mid engined car, but having experience behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 has given me some very helpful driving tips (Turn? Lift? Die.).

I'm mostly a VW guy (MK1 rabbits especially) and have dabbled a little in the honda scene. Owned 1 domestic, and wont go that way again.

I am really interested in engines, and starting to learn the finer points of head work, and shaping the combustion chamber. I intentionally bought a 5s powered MR2 to see if i can push the envelope and get some decent power out of it. I like underdog engines. I usually mess with SOHC engines, like the Honda D series, and the infamous VW 8 valve.

I really have a hunger for knowledge. I love reading tecnical threads just as much as reading off topic NWS banter. The site seems to have a very nice group of folks here. I've been lurking for a while today, while researching how to properly build a 5sFTE (which i loved the information i found) and decided i would go ahead and post.

Looking forward to becoming part of the community guys and gals,

-Drew

P.S. Here are a few pics of my old cars

1.8l Drag rabbit pickup. 12:1 compression, 9800 rpms of sheer terror with a nice little 120 direct port.

Saturn Ion Redline. GM stage 2, 2.8 pulley, Steigmeyer ported blower etc.

And the real cream of the crop;

1984 celica supra. 7mGTE swap. SAFC tuned, 60-1 CT26 upgrade, various other bits and pieces. Wish i'd never had gotten rid of it.

Welcome to the board. I've got a 85 celica supra. I plan on dropping this in it over the winter, after I get the suspension done on the MR2.

Surfer8, That is a very clean 5m. You should grab a turbo manifold from a 7m and boost it. They are a blast when boosted. My 5m bit the dust after a supra meet, when some A-hole turned my MBC way up. That celica supra hauled ass on 25 psi for about 10 seconds though lol.

Thanks Everett!

Welcome to the board. Thats a pretty clean two you got and nice Celica Supra. We have two of those a 84 which my dad bought new and a 85 with 120,000 miles. They are wonderful cars. Why did you get rid of it?
