Welcome to the board. What year are you planning on buying and have you found anything yet?

I expect to be importing from Japan. It's cheaper, you get lower mileage usually, and you get a 3S-GE instead of a 5S-FE
So it'll be in the 1989-1991 range. Haven't found anything yet as I'll probably be going via auctions, so once I get my deposit in it's just a matter of sitting and waiting. |

Hey Murphy,
If you're interested, I can do the importing for you. I brought myself in a gorgeous Landcruiser, and will likely get a Japanese '2 for myself. Adam

Just the shipping is usually $700 or so. I wish that was all one had to pay! Fully imported, a decent n/a MR2 (which will sell for about $1000CDN at auction) tallies up to about $5500. And then I have to get it halfway across the country yet.
Still beats paying $10G for a high-mileage 5S car locally. MR2s are pricey here. Adam, thanks for the offer. Where do you source cars from? |
