Newly aquired Mr2

Just bought a 91 Mr2 turbo 5 speed one owner out of ohio forrest green metalic black leather t tops. 106k i love the car only drove it about 5 miles so far its snowy and aZZ cold here in michigan so it is in storage. I bought the car because it is so clean and completly unmolested. I just want to do a couple of things to it like wheels and exahust intake turbo timer boost controler fuel cut. Then it will be my sunday driver something good on gas that i can take anywhere. I have a snowplowing business that has left me with 4 big diesel trucks so needless to say long road trips are not much fun when you are paying the bill. Right now i am looking for suggestions on wheels and tires combos i want 17x8 in front and 18x9 in rear i need to know back spacing for the two if anyone has any suggestions it would be much appretiated. body is going to be left stock expect maybe for a jdm lip i would like to repaint the car to give it a show paint job the stock paint shines like new but factory toyota paint is to be desired. I am more of a perfectionist than a tuner. I will get pics of the car next week when i get time and get it cleaned up.

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome.

I own an MKI, so I may be wrong in saying this, but from what I've read up on wheels 17s are big, but 18s are too big. Maybe a 16/17 combo would work a bit better? I don't know, but for more of a specific answer I'd refer you the Wheels - Tires section, but I noticed you already beat me to it, Custom Wheels What to do.

As it is said on the interwebz - Pictures or it didn't happen .
