need assistance
just recently purchased 85 mr2 90,000 k little body work but the worst problem it ginds and you half to reef it into gear all the time and the clutch seems like its not disengaged just wondering if someone else had same problem

Not really familiar with clutches myself, but does sound like you have problems. First thing i'd do though is make sure that the reservior is full, as i think it's a hydraulic clutch. Other than that it might be the internal mechanism not pushing all the way out. Does it feel spongy? It might have air inside the lines, not sure how common that is. EDIT: The clutch reservoir apparently right behind the master brake cylinder in the Frunk, on the right side, looking from the front of the car that is. And i wouldn't really drive it until you get it fixed lol, also when changing gears there is a way to do it, if you get it at the right rpm you don't even need the clutch and won't grind, i've heard big trucks do it, but i would just get it fixed Last edited by ebouwman; 01-31-2009 at 10:07 PM. |
