Finally. My '91 MR2 Turbo

I had been wanting one since '91 but never got one. I signed up here on 1/31/08 looking for one and as of 1/31/09, I now have one.

I picked up a Red '91 Turbo in need of a bit of TLC. The body is very good on it but the paint is faded very badly. The motor runs... well more or less. The PO took the exhaust off for some reason and also said once it warms up it will knock.
Well I haven't tried letting it warm up enough to hear it as I'm planning on a re-build anyway so I don't want to cause any more damage.

I spent a little time on Sunday compounding some of the body. Should look ok till I can get a good paint job put on it.

I'm not an expert but it appears to be in decent shape.
Everything appears to work except the driver side door controls.

and of course my avatar

I still need to finish the compound job then wax it but it appears to be cleaning up nice.

The rest of these plus anymore I may get are stored in:

Ok, here is the result of quite a few hours of compounding and waxing.

Now just need to get it drivable.

Congrats on your purchase, if your going for a rebuild anyways might as well see how she runs.
