Hi, I Recently purchased MR2/S2000 hybrid

and everyone on this forum bags on it a lot already haha.

Figured I'd introduce myself. My name's Rob and I'm a college student. I've been selling off some of the vehicles I have in order to buy myself a reliable, easy car but ended up buying an MR2 almost as old as I am with double the mileage of anything I've ever owned instead. But I like it. And if that isn't enough, it looks like this:

It needs some work but I like it overall. If you'd like to read about my plans on it and other peoples opinions they can be found in this thread:

I almost forgot. Car is a 1991 MR2 N/A with quite some mileage on it (300,000 on the body, who knows on the engine). It is in good mechanical condition and has been well taken care of for most of its life. Drives well, though it's painfully slow. OEM Lexus wheels probably don't help.

Edit* Mine is na too with 300k on the original unopened motor. They are good reliable cars. There is no destroying a Toyota if you take care of it.

i seen that car on craigslist i think it was for sale for 8k or something good luck with that mr2k just not my cup of tea

Welcome bro! I remember seeing this car on Craiglist too. I personally don't think the car looks bad=) To me, your car is pretty unique! A lot of people just have carbon copies of every other so called "custom jobs" out there. Then when someone has something entirely out the box, they get rag on! Well your car is definitely different, and I think it looks good! Besides, if you ever go to a meet or a show, at least you won't have trouble finding your 2 in the parking lot!

shave off the hood scoop or turn it around... make it functional somehow.
