New MR2 nut

just wanted to 'check in' [sorry about that.. prolly done a lot i would think....] and say sawp. new to the mr2 scene and very very close to buying my very first mr2. this will be my second toyota sports car, but first mr2, so, needless to say, i'm very excited. i want to say thanx to Russ B for going with me to look at my first mr2, and for letting me scare the $hit outta him while driving both the hopeful, and his personal car. with any luck in the very near future, i will be driving a 1986 red mr2 5spd. very cool, very very excited, as i've said a lot before. i love toyota's and i love the mr2's even more - especially after getting to drive 2 in one day!! now, after being chomped by the mr2 bug, i simply must have one. my life willnot be complete without one now. thank you Russ for showing me the way. nick..

Welcome to the board. I miss my first MR2, a black 86, fun car. I'm sure you will be happy with it, just take good care of it.... and your avatar is going to give me a seizure.

thanx sorry about mr. sparkle flashing... i'll look for a non-flashing version, but it's pretty had to find any good mr. sparkle pics.

and yes, that's what i want to name my car! reason is that when i repaint it, cuz the paint is shite, i want to add sparkles to the paint, hence mr. sparkle.

oh yeah!!! Russ and I took the hopefull on some back roads and get to stretch it's legs a bit. pulled hard right to the rev-limiter, bounced off and kept pulling. it was very nice. and while getting to drive Russ' car, i got to see what kind of potential was in the hopeful car, which i personally felt was pretty damn good for stock. hopefully i'll get the chance to really test someone's mr2 - hopefully my own - on some more roads and really get a feel for it. there was no highway/freeway driving, just a couple of back roads, but they did the trick.
