new mk2's NZ
hey guys new member here
studying engineering at university of waikato in new zealand anyway i recently sold my 750iL bmw (yes v12) and bought a few cars two of which being sw20 mr2s the first is my car that im going to keep its a 1990 black sw20 that i bought with a run bigend for $600 i just spent the last two weeks rebuilding the engine in my spare time all up having the crank and rods reground new bearings all new seals, belts pulleys gaskets etc it cost me about $450 to rebuild it all up bringing me to just over $1000 nzd for it heres the good part it came with a turbo lsd gearbox brand new clutch turbo brakes 15" factory wheels with awesome new 225/50/15 tyres on them only low point is the shabby interior which is my next mod i have secured a mint carpet from the wreckers for a 12 pack of beer just need a new drivers seat now the other is a 1991 sw20 with a realllllllllyyyyy ****ed engine (ask 328FTW) he drove it back to my place with me full throttle it did max 5kph whilst trying to rip the engine apart this one im just going to tidy up and sell i just bought an engine manual gearbox and all electrics etc from the enigne bay of a crashed mr2 for $290 so will convert it to manual and sell it off im sure you will see me around mainly in off topic lol |

Well at least it could make it up a 5 degree incline and turn right at intersections unlike the failmatic green mr2 and its 3 inch bearing clearance. I guess that makes it's s*** a little cash.
When you pull the old motor out of the almost seized 2 I want to see the rods, I want something like this to mount on the front of mine as a hood ornament ![]() Or just chuck some moreys in it that will fix that bearing and the seizing right away, I'm sure it says it will fixed a seized engine on the bottle, it does everything else ![]() |
