New to this forum, MK1 owner for years :)
Amazing how a person can be so engulfed in a world and never realize there ARE other MR2 worlds out there lol.
Anyway, I will start frequenting the boards here more often now. Without getting into trouble, I am still an active member of another forum so my purpose here is the same as the other - enjoy MR2s! |

Thanks for the welcome Resurrected! I will have to agree with you and say that to me MR2 owners are some of the best!
I will post pics of my car when I get it back from paint this weekend. I will actually be making a collage as my car was in different stages of body pieces and colors lol. |

So again, when it comes back from paint this weekend, I will make a collage of the very first day I got it, this stage and the final product. Quite a transformation!

Restoring it yes, but not to OEM style restoration where I am looking for factory styling. There are some mods to it I will not list quite yet until I get it back from paint
![]() Engine work will be last in way of putting a new engine into it. The current one is like a tank and runs perfect. I have had the car 5 years in November and have had no engine issues. After paint, then the suspension setup is next. |

The PO must have had it rear ended as the bumper was pushed down a little as well as under muffler area you can see about an inch of frame pushed in. The passenger side quarter panel had about a hand sized dent, but after fixing it, there was a lot of filler in it.
Anyway, the quarter panel you see in the picture was bad and such an eyesore for me for close to 4 years. So, I had my local guy fix the body stuff first, then I took it back to him to paint it and do some custom fab work. Below is how he fixed the quarter panel CORRECTLY - not some cheap slap job here! ![]() Last edited by mr2parts.net; 05-27-2009 at 08:59 PM.. |
