Hi all,
Proud new owner of a '91 NA as of yesterday. My friend had a MkI back in college, and I think I loved it more than he did. Mine has 180,000 miles, has a few cosmetic issues, but is in decent shape mechanically. Got it for $2k and expect to put in another thousand or so for stereo upgrade and some replacement parts. It has new valve cover and gasket, new oil pan gasket, new distributor/alternator/water pump/plugs/wires and radiator. Brake rotors and pads were replaced last year. Only mechanical issue I'm currently aware of is a slight steering wheel shimmy above 60 mph or so -- I suspect it is a balance issue, but will explore this weekend. Aside from the stero, I plan to keep it as stock as possible. I hope it allows me to park my Suburban as often as possible ![]() |
