french girl owner's of a white sw20 mr2

hi everyone

first , thousands sorry for all the mistake i will do in english,i will do my best so don't hesitate to correct me or explain

i am a 24 years girl, and i leave in france,in "bretagne" near the sea(difficult life i now...)
i am a Driver of works in a building house company, that's not really a girl's work but i love it....

to explain how i purchase my mr2 , i have to explain some things:
my boyfriend is an addict of supra,he own several celica supra ,which are very fun cars but too "male" at my taste,i often drive them because they are fun but they aren't my cup of tea

one day , he decide to swap a 7M-gte on his two tone supra ,so he found one mk3 with engine trouble(BlowHeadGasket, weak point on this engine due to a bad factory head torque...)

it was a mint 92 , when i saw how in good shape she was ,i convince him that he couldn't cut it just to take engine/tranny and all he need to swap the 7mgte in his celica supra
i decide him to fix this one and search for an other engine
he found a wrecked one for his swap on the blue celica supra(powerfull car after that)

my boyfriend fix it but never really drive it ,too much weight not enought fun according to him, he prefer mkII supra
So that was my first toyota GT/sport car:

a really good car

complete package of options
red , targa ,leather seat,cruise control,A/C, power mirrors,heat seat......
i really like to drive it but i quickly understand my boyfriend mind when he say:"too heavy cars"
i ride her some mounths ,race some stupid guys on the way to university(love turbo engine and torque they produce,so easy to pull away....)
but here where i leave their isn't a lot of straight line and i really like cornerings(i am also a motorcycle addict..)

so we decide to sell it
my ask was a good looking car(like the supra mk3) but lighter
Firstly i take a look to LOTUS but they were too expensive for my budget(maybe one day)

and my boyfriend is really a toyota fellow addict...

without saying anything to me , he found me a white mr2 3sge rev 1 ,156hp at a very low price because engine have 230 000 km and some minor brake issues
no A/C, no power steering,no cat --------}sports car
he show me picture send by the previous owner and immediatly i love it:

it's really an incredible car but everyone here knows this...

On the road back home(nearly 1100 km road trip with some mountains stage ) :

Brake issue was fix by a rev 3 brake package , bigger than rev 1 and the tiny rim in 14 by rim in 16 of supra for clearance

for more amazing cornering , some TRD parts were added:

koni and TRD lower my car exactly like i want:

and some other stuf like braided lines and good toyo tires

like this it's near perfect for me

and some exterior mods to be pretty...(i am a girl )

here in france , mr2 turbo never was officially imported
2 week ago my boyfriend found a nice JDM 3SGTE rev 3

will be on my car soon but will do some work before, timing belt and clutch ( more easy when it's outside of the car)

i just need a complete exhaust pack(stainless steel will be perfect, i hope some vendors have this in stock..?)

voila, here the beginning of a very long story,i hope...
i already get a look in lurker mode on the forum and i see how much you are crazy
so much amazing work and crazy swap
i hope i could tune my car as i dream her, with your help maybe...

regards

Why do trees line the streets of Paris?

So the French Soldiers armpits wont get sunburnt.

Hello and welcome! I am just across the water from you in Sandwich, Kent - UK!

Looks like a lovely MR2 you have there!

I thought French regulation on engine conversions and alterations was quite strict - making it unable to be done?
