20V Corrola Japanese engine

I am delighted with every MR2 I've owned. I currently have a 1985 MR2 w/ a 20 Valve Japanese engine. My mechanic is unable to make sense of the service codes since this is not a US engine. Looking for help

20 Valve 4AGE came out of the AE101 Corollas

you already have one, or where you looking to buy one?

I believe the 20V jspec engines came in a variety of colors, the most common being the silvertop. There may also be a blacktop and BEAMS. So, if you can further identify your engine, that will help.

There is sub-category: Toyota MR2 Message Board > Toyota MR2 Generations > MK 1 MR2 - AW11 > 20v Swaps -- that discusses the 20V engine and your posting may be better answered there.
