Finally Getting Started w/ my Mk2

Hi everyone,

I bought mine last Feb ('08) and it's been sitting in the garage for most of the time. Just filled up the tank last weekend and that was the first time since November!

It needs a little bit of work but nothing major. Had the axle seals replaced this week since it was leaking a bit of tranny fluid.

Now I'm finally getting around to doing something and have made the following "punch list". Getting tired of jumpstarting, push starting, and parking on hills when going somewhere. Probably just the battery but I'll have to check it out.

Anyone have any thoughts about this list? Suggestions/additions?

Check electrical system, replace battery
Repair HVAC control panel/AC, control cables
Replace struts (4), lower slightly
Repair passenger side power window
Install antenna
Swap in '93 (?) shifter kit
Install stereo system
Replace worn seatbelt
Reupholster or replace driver's seat, repair dash
Repair/replace trim (around both door windows, trailing edge of left side window )
Windshield wiper cowl
Debadge
Repair driver's door hinge
Replace front undertray
Remove front license plate mount
Repair dings; repaint
Install JDM corner lenses
Install alarm system
