New in NC

Hey all. I picked up an '89 SC as my track car. I've only gotten to take one autocross lap in it so far (it needs a new rear main seal), but I can tell it's going to be infinitely faster than my '06 WRX. I just need to learn how to drive it. Looking forward to tapping the knowledge base here and over at mr2oc.

I picked it up for $3400. A fair price, given what I've had to do to it since (warped head, bad rear main seal).

I didn't know that there was anything mechanically wrong with the car when I bought it. Since the car was in Cali, I had to rely on my dad to check it out for me. Also, it was an SC and the body and interior are in great condition, especially for the mileage. I mean, there's not even any wear on the seat bolsters. I wouldn't have paid that much for an NA model, nor for a SC if it wasn't in such good condition (again, at least physically). Anyway, I thought it a fair price for a rare car. I don't think I would have paid much more than that, though.

Sweet, another NC SC I know of several. Hope to see that thing in person at a meet sometime (or track, that's good too).
