whats up everybody..im located in Lafollette Tennessee.names jake.i joined up on here cause this guy from down the street gave me a MK1 MR2 for free and its almost flawless..only problem is that its been sitting for a about a year now, and it cranks but will not start..i have tried opening the AFM door and it is fine..i was told it activates the fuel pump?..but nothing switches on.. ..the guy who gave it to me said it has bad gas in it..so i was wandering if there was a way to drain the tank without fully taking off the tank...i know that i have to take it off anyways to get to the fuel pump but im just trying out all the small stuff before i really break into the car...i am really not even totally sure if its even a fuel problem..im no mechanic..but my guess is the fuel pump is bad or the fuel filter is nasty....i have no idea where to start..any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome, congrats on the free 2, those are the best kind imo.
Not sure about draining the tank without taking it off, however you could always try the fuel filter first those are cheap enough and it probably needs changed anyway. |
