New Owner just saying hi... with some pictures.
Hi everyone. Last weekend I picked up my first MR2. My first MR2, but definitely not my first Toyota. I have had three 6th generation Celicas before this. Two of them were pretty well modified, one even being swapped with a 20V silvertop.
basic facts: 1991 MR2 N/A Base model (power nothing is awesome) T-tops Crimson Red 103K miles 18" Voxx Monza wheels - I'm not a fan. Presently looking into 16" staggered wheels. Tint Upgraded speakers, amp behind driver's seat and 10" sub behind the passenger seat. Pictures aren't the best, so bear with me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Plans for the future - smaller, staggered wheels. Springs/struts of some kind. I haven't decided on the direction I want to take it in the future. Cheap intake and an exhaust. Possibly cams, as my friend works at Delta Camshaft and can do up my cams for me for free. And just so you can see where I'm coming from, here are my last couple toyotas: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I agree with you about the wheels? Those just look silly, but the car looks real nice and original, just the way I like 'em.
Awesome Celica's. I was looking at those before I got turned on by the MR2. Welcome to the Forum. |

Thanks for the kind words guys.
![]() I would like to find some SA3's, but for a OEMish look I would even like a set of R32 Skyline wheels. Eibach/Illumina combo and a 93+ front lip. I am done doing heavy mods like my Celicas had. I am much more interested in subtle, OEM-look modifications. |

Nice trade! are they staggered?
Next step is some lowering springs that huge gap between the tire and fender looks so weird on mr2's... |

Not staggered. 16x7 all around - I believe +38. Now just have to find a pair of 16x8.

Nice! If you are looking for springs, get the TRD's! Aaron has a gb on them right now. Email him at awillis@lithia.com. He should have a few in stock. They will probably get discontinued soon too.
