noob building a MK 1.5
this is my second (well technically I supposed it's second and third) MR2 ('s), I had an 86 n/a back in 2006, it was a last minute GRM $2006 car, while painfully slow it handled awesome so I've been lusting after another since
a couple of years back I stunbled upon a deal on a wrecked 91T, and then just last winter I found a suitable first gen chassis (86 n/a), I have just begun the build of my MK1.5 (Mach1.5 ) for the GRM $2010 Challenge, so I'll be looking for any stellar deals on go fast goodies and reading and rereading all the info I can find ont eh MK 1.5 swap |

canooks
GRM = GrassRoots Motorsports Magazine, they have an anual race where you buy and build a car for the amount of the year, in this case $2010, we then compete in an automotove triathalon, drag race, autocross and concourse judging, this will be my 9th Challenge, and there are even some canadians that make the haul to florida for the challenge, grassrootsmotorsports.com, read all abotu it ![]() |

Lol I'd win it $20 says I can make over 300whp for that much but welcome anyway, another resident mk1.5 builder/owner here you might find some of my posts about the place regarding it. If you want the engine mount templates pm me I have them in a word document somewhere from my own swap I put a 3sge in megasquirted and turboed it. Currently blown and want nothing to do with it but anything you want to ask just shoot.

Ya, a mk1.5 should have enough power to do the job...
