The cheapest thing is the purchase price
Bought a 1991 red MR2 (non-turbo) on April 23rd for $375.
Doesn't turn over, clutch only goes down half way and then is very stiff Maybe (?) stuck clutch plate, cable or . . . . Needs WS, drivers mirror, tires, cleanup, rotors, brakes, antenna, shifter boot, shifter base plastic, drivers seat cable, etc.Thoughts ? |

For $375 even with those problems seems like a great deal to me! How is the body / paint? Welcome to the board.

Body seems good except for a turned up dent in the rear trunk , cause the previous owner left something sticking out of the trunk (on the engine side) and then attempted to close it. Seems easy enough to fix, though I'm wondering whether to remove it and then take it to the body shop? The front hood is pockmaked with about 30 dings where the previous owners nephew beat on it with something. I have been talking to another board member who will sell me a hood for $100 , which seems easier than trying to get out all the dents. There is also a small (4 inch) dent on the drivers side WS pillar where a branch fell on the car, which also shattered the WS. Hopefully this won't cost a fortune either.

Well whatever you decide to do, good luck on. I'd just sell it for a quick profit, hell even selling it for $500 will make you a little something.
