N/A MKII owner
I found my first MR2 in the local newspaper under "sports car" listed for $2500.00 . I went there and the owner said he was going to donate it charity because it had a few problems and the ac went after he placed the ad. I told him "donate it to Justin needs an MR2 charity" . He sold it to me for $1500.00 . I spent $250 to fix the radiator . Then I bled the brakes, changed fluids and drove it for 6 months.
I drove it round trip Fl to Wisconsin . When I got back I was leaking oil out of the front main seal. It had over 200,000 miles on it. But the body was nice. I let it sit while I drove my next MR2. I bought it after seeing an old ad at mr2 dot com . It was $2500.00 . I paid too much for that one only because I wanted a sunroof car. I sold it. Then I bought my baby; a '94 sunroof MR2. It cost $2900.00 plus $400.00 to ship it. I will do the most work on that car. Since then I also bought a '93 sunroof MR2 that I'm using to swap trannies. My garage is Toyota only. The Hondas have to park outside . I like somethings about Hondas but overall I have to say Toyotas are better. I can't get over how the Toyota dealer will change the timing belt on an mr2 for $200 plus tax. When the Honda dealer wants $350 for the same job on an integra. I had to do the GSR belt my self because if the Honda dealer would have changed the water pump too then the quote was over $700.00. I put on a Greddy belt, new pump and all other belts and new oil pan gasket for less than $350 in parts. We took the first MR2 to the dealer for timing belt and front main seal and it was $350.00 . Of course that would have been higher if it was turbo. I wounder if they would even touch a car with a beams swap. 91 blue 5-speed sold to mr2typer 91 white 5-speed sold to some guy in Florida? 94 never gonna sell 93 red auto project car with 86,000 miles soon to be sold cheap 91 parts car once hit in back still drives. Maybe race car someday? I love turbo cars , just never come across any so I'm sticking with N/A |

Welcome to MR2 board
Sounds like you might just possibly have the requisite amount of interest in MR2s. ![]() Should post up some pics in your garage.
