Ricidivist MR2 Fan in Eugene, Oregon

I've been gone from the MR2 scene since the days of the MR2 and Toyota-Mods mailing list, but I can't stay away.

I loved my 91 Turbo, but it unfortunately met with a tree quite abruptly at a hillclimb. As much as I liked it however, the 86 that I purchased later was easily as much fun to drive despite the lack of thrust. I only sold it because it was in need of some significant engine work that I had neither the money nor the location to work on it. But things have changed, and I would buy the car back today if I could find it!

Heck, I'm borderline ready to buy ANY MkI if I can find one nearby at a reasonable price.

So if you know of anybody selling a straight bodied MkI, running or not, interior condition unimportant, within 300 miles of Eugene, Oregon, I would love to know about it. Anything from a gutted shell to a pristine SC will make me happy.

The only ones I have found so far have been on dealer lots where they not only want to screw people on the price, but they will only sell it under their financing - no cash! I feel sorry for anybody who deals with those crooks . .

If I can secure a nice SC, it will likely remain relatively unmolested mods-wise, but a rolling shell will receive a handy doubling of displacement via a V6 install.
