hello everyone. im sean and im am the proud owner of a 91 mk2 turbo. im coming from a 98 prelude with light mods so this car is very very new to me. i hope to learn a lot form posting here since i dont know anyone in my area who owns an mr2 from any gen. the car has 80k original miles and is in wonderful shape(ill try to get some pix up soon). it has some motor issues tho which i plan to fix asap. there is a loud sputter from the turbo manifold thats leaking air badly(im guessing it just needs a new gasket). so im not getting proper boost and my mpg is noticibly lower than expected. other than those things, the car is excellent condition for a 15 year old car, period.

the exhaust manifold is probably warped. Youll probably need a 150-200 dollar replacement. If it does turn out to be warped, make sure you dont buy one with the tubular piping, the stock with is high quality and can hold up to a lot of boosting, even 300whp mr2's still use there stock manifolds.

What mods are done to the car so we might assist you in getting it up to shape

the car has next to nothing done to the motor. it has a greddy type s bov, a kn cone filter and a greddy/trust dual exhaust. other than that, the engine is stock. its going in to the local toyota dealership on monday. i had them order the exhaust manifold gaskets that connect to the head as well as the the gasket from the turbo to the manifold in advance so they would be there when i get it in the shop. i also found an oil leak coming from where the distributor enters into the head...im guessing it just needs a new gasket there. i hope its nothing major.
