first mr2
greetings
I just bought my first MR2. after looking at a bunch of civics/integras, I happened to see an ad for a MR2 yesterday. this board has been a great resource for a newb that knows little (ok.. NOTHING) about MR2s.. anyway it's a red 92 n/a auto hardtop with moonroof (i know, i'd rather have a manual too).. 133,000 miles, $3200. seems to be in great condition, it was owned by an older gentleman who passed away. right now it looks like the car is bone stock. first thing it needs is a clay/polish as some of the roof paint is fading.. possibly a new paint job in the future, and some wheels. any comments/suggestions for rims and other mods would be great. ![]() |

The auto transmission is easier to swap out than having to do a roof conversion to get that hardtop

Why's there such a big difference between what they're selling for and the edmunds.com values? According to edmunds I got screwed on the price, but it seems about average for what they're selling for.
I'm working in another state right now, so though I've bought it I still haven't driven an MR2 or even sat in one, and won't be able to for atleast a few weeks. hope you guys are right about them being nice cars! j/k |

With cars like these, you can't go by the value of things like Edmunds or the Kelly Blue Book. The cars are much more valuble on the market than those sources claim.
