Hello all, my name is Russ Sanderlin and Brian directed me to join up with my MR2. Glad to be here

I picked up my 1991 Turbo in pristine condition a few months ago for $2800. I've absolutely enjoyed this car and look forward to modding it up in the future. I have found that once people become MR2 owners, they are like MR2 owners for life or if they get rid of it they regret doing it.

I still have had this car for about 4.5 years now:

I believe it had 138K on the odo when I bought it, one owner

I'm glad to be overhere, I've been on MR2OC for awhile and I just did not like it too much. This forum has a much better layout and the admin is a cool dude.

Well, I initially bought it to simply have a second car for AutoX. Whilst I go out 2-3 times a month to go AutoX here in Central Florida I also began using it as a daily driver. So, with that I already put in a head unit, engine compartment hydrolic strut and a short shifter. That short shifter kit from twos are us I think is extremely over priced for two bolts and a tab of metal. There should be a howto: on doing that yourself.

But, it's coming along... I need to concentrate on finishing off my first project which is the Eclipse with some much needed engine upgrades before I can start playing around with the MR-2 more. I definitely want to upgrade the turbo and really give it a kick in the pants, so that's one of the first things on my todo list. Also I want to paint it the same color as my Eclipse because overall I just have a thing for Metallic Silver or Black. Actually that stock color Steel mist grey is absolutely gorgeous, but I've never seen one in person so if I paint it silver, it might have a few drops of black and blue in the mixture
