New guy Checking in

Hey everyone I am from NYC, I don't have an MR2 as of yet but I am going to be getting one soon, just here to get some more info before I get it.

I am looking to buy a MR2 with an SMT. In what year was the problem with the slow up shifts fixed (reprogrammed in the computer). Also lets say I buy a car of the previous years can I take it to the dealer and have them put the new programming in for the shifts to work better?

I guess you are talking about an MKIII? I don't know much about the Spyder so I can't help you much there, but welcome to the board.

From what I've heard, the 2003+ 6 spd SMT's shift faster than the previous year 5 speed models. Welcome to the board.
