hello toyota fans
howdy! i just recently acquired a 1987 mr2 and am looking for guidance as well as a place to meet other owners of these interesting little cars. ive been into mostly muscle cars and toyota four wheel drives up untill now but i think theres enough room in my time for mr2 s. i am in need of some help though as my motor in my car is blown. ive came across a website selling engines and they have supercharged 1.6 s with the ecu available. i would like to go faster but im unsure if this would be an easy swap or not because its my understanding that 87 models werebt offered with superchargers in north america. i would like to go faster but im unsure if everything will bolt up or not. any input is greatly appreciated and look foward to hearing from you thanks-eric

Welcome to the Board!
I think you might want to look into the mk1.5 swaps Basically (and im not a mk1 expert), people are putting the 3sgte out of the mk2's into there mk1s and getting quite a rise in HP for that little car of yours.
