Late Check In

I guess I was suppose to check in here first before making a post

Anyway, a shout out from the rainbow state. I'm a poor college student in HI with a fresh mr2 title in my hand. It's a 91 NA 5 speed. She's a beater alright. Rust on the doors, small bit by the windshield, and signs of an accident, but she's a diamond in the waits.

Still deciding if I want a turbo swap or not... If anyone wants to walk me through a 1zz/2zz swap I'm all for it

I'd prefer NA for longevity purposes. Yeah, engines going soon, idle's pretty high at 1500-2000 last time i fired it up. I might just end up with a rebuild...

So here's my shout out, i guess I'll drop a line in other posts every now and then

Post some pictures! Sounds like you have a lot of maintenance to do. This site is a superb resource of information so if you cant find it, just ask.

Hi raven welcome to the "best" website on the net. If you are interested I recently found a guy in Hawaii that has a rear USDM clip for $800. I'd buy it but he don't want to ship it. Since you live there I just thought I'd let you know. I cant remember what website I found it on but if you want it I'll try to find it again.

Welcome to the board, high idle is a common problem with the 5SFE, check the NA section for some tips on that. Post up some pictures if you get a chance as well.
