CRW CTD06 "stock" 350-400 WHP turbo coming VERY SOON!!!
CRW CTD06 "stock" 350-400 WHP turbo coming VERY SOON!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- just letting everyone here know that we have been in the process of having a turbo made very similar to the BLITZ K1 380-v. for anyone who doesn't know the turbo is a direct bolt on (same as a ct20b externally) and is highly modified internally. initial estimates are that the turbo will be capable of producing 350-400whp with the correct supporting mods. FAQ: 1) this turbo is completly NEW and not rebuilt/upgraded stock parts 2) there is no core required for purchase 3) retail cost should be under $1,000 USD 4) this turbo is externally identical to the CT20b from a gen3 MR2 or Celica so it will bolt on to any gen2 and 3 engine no problem. will fit gen1 (all-trac) with modification unless it's already using a gen2 CT26 or variation and will fit a gen4 (Caldina) if a gen3 exhaust manifold is used and downpipe/cat/whatever. 5) this turbo will come with the wastegate actuator 6) the stock oil feed/return lines will fit correctly 7) the stock coolant lines will fit correctly 8) gen2 3sgte or gen3 3sgte downpipes, stock or aftermarket, will work with this turbo (correct for their application of course) 9) we do have a test group almost completly full for guinea pigs (IE: reduced cost) 10) there will be an initial "group buy" on these turbos the main reason we decided to go this oute is partially a fluke.... just happened to come across a company willing to remake the entire turbocharger for us for a pretty reasonable cost (comparativly speaking). was inquiring about custom turbo parts and just asked the right question (divine interention?) at the right time to the right guy willing to tackle the task. the other part of the reason is i live in California where the smog nazis roam free and tighten the noose almost daily on modifies cars. the only way i could be certain to have a customer pass emissions was to have the stock or stock/upgraded turbo on the car at emissions time... yeah.... turbo kits can slide by lazy smog techs but some folks just want the comfort and security of knowing that the turbo won't be any sort of issue whatsoever + have the ability to push 400whp while looking bone stock (exhausts are EASY to change!). so here you have it.. the NEW "kid" on the block.... hope it meets your visual expectations PICS here of the first turbo off the assembly line: CRW Gallery :: CRW CTD06 bolt on turbocharger once the turbo is here (early next week) we'll test fit it and see if here is anything which needs modified there... if good in that department then we'll start running it for a short time and then get 10 more ordered for the test group. if interested in being a "tester" email me at the_mister3@yahoo.com and i'll see what i can do for ya! **this turbo is manufactured in china and "finished" here in the USA. i was recently made aware of that fact but life goes on i guess..... |

Are these ball bearing or journal bearing? That is cool that it is pretty much a stock CT26, but brand new! Looks just like it down to the wastegate.

these are journal bearing turbos similar to OEM. would cost WAY too much to outfit the CHRA with ball bearings

the turbo does come with the wastegate actuator but the one i got in for pictures, test fitting and operational tests had a broken one
somebody dropped between there and here or something and broke a nipple off and dented the tin enough to where i didn't feel repairing it to test would be wise.hopefully they will be packaged better when production begins.... |

well... am hoping to get the next sample in within the next week to 2 weeks. have had a few setbacks but hopefully this new version will be what we're looking for. the version pictured was close but didn't quite make the grade as far as fitament and since it got damaged there was no real testing done to it.

well... a ballpark estimate would be a price starting at around $1100 and going up from there. it will be reconfigurable so there will be many options available. HP ranges should be able to be from 300whp to 600whp
but for now this is just ballpark estimate... not set in stone. i'd suspect at least 1 year before this becomes a reality... |
