Curious on pricing for ECU

I'm wondering what a Gen 3 3sgte ECU would cost? Thanks.

Thanks. I'll let you know if/when I need one. Mine is fried for sure, so I either need to fix or replace so there's a definite possibility.

What does that mean? I haven't really looked into aftermarket running systems much for this car yet so I'm not familiar with much.

yeah... am talking about a MINES ECU for the gen 3. has revised fueling and timing maps, removes fuel cut and speed limiter and also raises redline to 7800 or 8k rpm. price is $750 shipped and well worth it. retail for these is over $1200 USD in Japan.

also have another ROM tuned ECU for gen3 which runs larger injectors and has a dual ROM board. manufacturer is unknown but should run 650cc injectors (which i have a set) no problem,... seemed to run a hair on the lean side with the stock 540cc injectors..... price for this ECU is the same but has additional cost of the new SARD 650cc injectors ($350)

might consider the MINES ECU but I would really like to get this thing running well before messing with that sort of thing... we'll see. It all depends on how much money this current job brings in. I need to buy a new computer for school, so however much left after that I have will go towards the car. I'll let you know within about 2 weeks. thanks!

Get the MAP when you can, I need both.

Also, on my way home from Mankato last night the transmission went out on my dd, so that puts a little urgency on me to get at least one car running. I'll pay for the ECU right now, let me know about the MAP. Thanks very much!

no, the 91 usdm is a Gen II, which is air density (has a mass air flow sensor by the intake filter), while the Gen III is speed density, which relies on air temperature and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensors. These are completely different running systems, so your car will not run using a Gen III ECU.
