JDM E153 93+
I have a 97 JDM E153 with LSD that came with my swap and I am not happy with it. (It didn't come from you guys) Is there anyway for you guys to varify the condition of a used JDM trans if a buy one from your before I put it in? I don't reay want to pull it again. Mine Requires a lot of force to shift and pops when going into 4th gear at high rpm.

as for your shifting issues.... did you get a modified clip? check the shift lever bushing? check shifter cables and make sure turbo cables are installed? mounts are all good and secure? clutch is operating properly? |

I beleave the cables are turbo cables but how would I know? My clip was stock with 27,000mi on it. I had the mr2 warehouse put it in he just would tell me its fine. It can't be fine cus I can **** my 97 toyota pick up faster. It should shift as good or better.

the shifter should sit centered if it has the proper shifter cables. if it leans towards pass side and you have a hard time getting to the 5th and REV slot then you probably have the NA cables still.
have you tried using redline shockproof lightweight trans fluid? that fluid really helps the crap feel of the gearbox ALOT |

I think I have the turbo ones cus the shifter is in the middle and will go into rev and 5th the same as any onther gear. I think i might try the new redline too.

try the redline first then go from there. is a inexpensive way to remedy the trans VS getting a new one. if it doesn't work then consider getting a replacement in the future
