With the exception of matching up tolerances / machine work - does this kit work with the 3sgte or 5sfe block / head? Is there any advantage of doing a gen 2 stroker vs getting a gen 3 swap (i have a 91 na) What about cost

any feedback from those running a stroker set up would be interesting as well

Strokers don't really add power on the stock set. They just give the potential for more power. If you have a lot of other mods or plan to get a lot of other mods strokers are awsome. If your going to just build you motor right off the start I would suggest getting a Gen2 over a Gen3.

well... if doing a turbo swap you'll need to figure out how much HP you want in the end..... for 300-400whp the gen3 with bolt on's and EMS (AEM!) would be the quickest and easiest solution... least costly. if goung for more HP then doing a gen2 swap wouldn't be bad and then having the engine stroked and built to the hilt

our stroker kits can work with gen1, gen2, gen3 or gen4 3sgte blocks or the 5sfe blocks w/3sgte head. just need a different bore size for the 5sfe bocks is all

strokers will add power by adding displacement... how much just depends on your supporting mods. also adding more displacement will make your HP and TQ come on sooner (IE: move graph to the left)

My 3sgte is apart now and since I need pistons and a crank (which is cracked), I figure maybe i should just get a stroker kit and likely eagle rods while I'm at it. I'm wondering a couple things though:
I don't imagine any tuning is required or alternate timing compared to stock right? Is there anything I should consider when I have the builder install these parts? what about a better fuel pump, as I'm sure the engine would be require more fuel.
Wouldn't increasing displacement by 20% cause an approximate 20% increase in power? I don't understand TreyMR2's comment above. I don't see why other modifications would be necessary to see the benefit of a longer stroke on an otherwise stock motor? If someone could shed some light on that it'd be appreciated.

the stroker engine will use approximatly the same tune as a 2.0L in most cases. if running the stock ECU w/AFM there won't be any fuling issues. if running a EMS then after everything is broken in i'd recommend having the car dynoed and maps checked and tweakes if necessary.

everything tuning wise will be the same as a regular 2.0L just might require more fuel at higher loads if using a EMS.

wit hthe stroker kit machining instructions are provided for the engine builder.
