Wow this is hot. What chassis did you guys use? Looks like the Tommy Kaira ZZ, but defnitely original piece.

Wow, that looks fantastic. It looks like a little mini McLaren F1. Really though, I don't see the point in offering it with the 3sgte when you have the option of the LS1. Regardless, it'll be a badass car if it's done up right all around.

Well, the SP4 version is being developed to take advantage of the MR-2's price range and availability, and the SP8 will be the big dog to play with so it can stand against those other V8 super cars.

So, those of you who can check out the Carlisle show please do.

tube chassis that uses MR2 components. and yes it is (or will be) for sale as a kit, you built it how you want.

i've seen this myself in person last year and the body is definitely great in quality. chassis seemed a bit overdone, but im pretty damn sure it was safe!

The weight of the SP8 is still under debate, but im pretty sure it will be very light, and since the car will use a Corvette engine as the powerplant, the power to weight ration will be awsome.

The great thing is that since it'll be based on the MR2 and available with the stock motor it could (I say could cuz im not sure) be street legal.
Imagine driving that thing to a car show or just cruisin around the local hotspots.

240lbs and 400+ hp.

The V8 Corvette motor will be matted to an Porsche/Audi G50 transmission, that means it will be true mid engine, with the tranny behind it.

Im not sure yet of the details on the tranny, i believe that bare minimum its a 5speed with LSD.
